Types of Coupons

There are different types of coupons which you will need to know. Knowing them and what they do, could help you save a lot of money.

Manufacturer's Coupons- These are the most popular and most used type there are. They are put out by the company that makes the product and these are what you'll find online and in the papers.

In-Store or In-Ad coupons- These are found in the ads or in the stores or on their websites. These can used with manufacturer's coupons at the same time for more savings. Check the store's policy to make sure.

Sticker type- these are the ones that come attached to the product.

Showtime type- These come in a dispenser that is on the shelf that is lit up and flashing at you to get your attention, hence I call them the showtime type.

Catalinas- These are when you by a product and then get a coupon for it after the sale. It will print out either on the back of your receipt or as a separate slip after the transaction.

Walgreen's Register Rewards- These are a type of Catalina but they need a little explaining. They can work to your advantage as my wife and I have done very well at Walgreen's. After you get the RR, you will have two weeks to use it. Your purchase must be more than the register reward total and in most cases can't be used on the same product again. The rules are printed on the coupon.
